Join us this Saturday for our annual Customer Appreciation Day festivities, featuring barbecue and potluck food fresh from our farms. It's the time of year when we make a special effort to thank all of our friends and customers for their support of the SKY Farmers Market. Thank you.
It's the last Saturday before Halloween. The SKY Farmers Market is the place to go for your Halloween pumpkins in Bowling Green. We've got the perfect carving pumpkins for your jack 'o lanterns, mini pumpkins, squash, and gourds for decorations, and the best locally grown squash and pumpkins for pies and baking.
With the summer season mostly behind us, O'Daniels Farm is harvesting an amazing variety of beautiful cool season produce including crispy lettuce, gorgeous cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, and greens, a preview of the mouth-watering winter produce season ahead.
If you haven't done so already, stop by and talk to them about their winter produce or visit their website to keep the best seasonal, locally grown meat and produce on your table all winter long.

To show our tremendous appreciation for our customers, the SKY Farmers Market will hold its annual Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday, October 27.

Jammin' on the Porch
Dust off the ole harmonica and join in on a live, old time music jam featuring the SKY Market house band and open to all pickers, strummers, and fiddlers. From 10:30-11:30. You can take a look at the playlist or just come ready to play!

Holiday Gifts at the SKY Farmers Market
The holidays are just around the corner. If your house is anything like ours that means it's catalog season. It seems virtually impossible to get off of everyone's mailing list. Despite our efforts, there's always one or two that make it into the mailbox...everyday.
Buying local is even more important around the holidays. Think of all the money that is spent this time of year on food, gifts, and events; then imagine keeping a share of it in your own community. The carbon footprint inevitably associated with the holidays can also sport a smaller shoe size when you support local products.
SKY Farmers Market is a great place to start (and possibly finish) your holiday shopping. At the SKY Market you'll find the freshest seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, fresh baked goods, coffee and wine for your holiday feasts as well as distinctive gifts from the hands of local artists and crafts-folk.
Perusing the beautiful paintings and pottery, baskets and furniture, jewelry and wearable art on a display at the SKY Market is a fun way to start a holiday. Add a cup of freshly roasted coffee and a double ginger scone, or a hot farm-fresh breakfast, fresh fall air and a friendly face and you've got a great recipe for beginning any day.
